Risha Neil

Over the past 25 years I have enjoyed teaching children. I believe in establishing a positive environment and developing a love of learning for each child I meet.

I am a Pennsylvania Certified teacher in grades Kindergarten-6th, Special Education & Reading Specialist. I have also completed over 50 hours of Orton-Gillingham training through The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education

Prior to tutoring I taught for 7 years in Philadelphia. My classroom experiences included teaching grades kindergarten, first and second. I also have professional experience as a Reading Specialist  and was responsible for improving the literacy programs throughout the school by providing professional development workshops, modeling lessons and observing teachers in grades pre-k-5th.  In 2018, I began substitute teaching in the Pennsbury School District for grades kindergarden-5th.

I graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education. Later I continued my studies at the University of Pennsylvania earning a Master’s Degree from the Reading, Writing and Literacy program.
